Data deletion · Updated October 22, 2026
Delete your data.
You can request deletion of your Cavi account or remove a connected Meta account. These actions cover different records, as explained below.
Delete your Cavi account and all its data
- In Cavi, open Settings, then Delete account under Account.
- Cavi shows what goes: every business only you own, with its customers, conversations, brand kits, pictures, videos, pages and drafts, and the access of everyone on its team. A business someone else also owns stays with them; what you did there stays without your name on it.
- Choose whether your live campaigns are paused first or keep running in your ad account, and type “delete”.
- It happens at once: Cavi gives back the access you gave it at Facebook and Google, deletes your account and your sign-in, and shows a confirmation link you can keep. Where a service doesn’t confirm it, Cavi tells you what to remove there yourself; Cavi deletes its keys either way.
Can’t sign in? Write to trtech1337@gmail.com from the email address you sign in to Cavi with, with the subject “Delete my Cavi data”. We confirm within 7 days, may ask you to confirm it’s really you, and delete everything above within 30 days.
Campaigns that already ran stay in your Meta ad account, which you control. Deleting Cavi doesn’t delete them there.
Remove Cavi from Facebook
If you connected Cavi to Facebook or Instagram, you can remove its access from Facebook at any time:
- On Facebook, open Settings & privacy, then Settings.
- Open Business integrations (on some accounts: Apps and websites).
- Find Cavi and choose Remove.
When Cavi receives Meta's signed removal or deletion notification, it removes the covered connection credentials, asset lists, reports, Page imports, Meta lead records and notification content. You can also disconnect in Cavi's Connections screen. Affected conversation history is removed from its first Meta import onward, together with derived knowledge. Earlier unrelated history and independently maintained business content remain. Pending work cannot restore the removed imported data.
Removing access does not stop or delete campaigns at Meta and does not delete your whole Cavi account. It also does not confirm removal of copies already held by another connected service. To delete your whole Cavi account, use Delete account in Settings.
What we keep
After a Meta disconnection, Cavi retains minimal approval and execution receipts, records of unresolved operations and deletion audit information. These prevent duplicate or unauthorized actions. A non-content fingerprint prevents repeated notifications from restoring deleted content. Historical hashed customer-audience membership records may remain to complete pending removals; removing them from Meta requires authorized account access and confirmation from Meta. Deleting your account keeps only a receipt: when it happened and how many businesses went, with no personal data. Backups of our database expire on their own within 30 days.
